There is no bigger star in Premier League and world football than Cristiano Ronaldo. Be it social media or the football pitch, the Portuguse superstar always leaves an impact.

12 years ago, he left Manchester United to pursuit his dream of playing for Real Madrid and after winning everything there is in European football, the boy from Sir Alex Ferguson’s Manchester United is finally back again in Manchester United.

Even at 36 years of age, he is still the same Cristiano Ronaldo who left the club over a decade ago. Playing football with same hunger and desire to win everything.

Right now he is the hottest property in Fantasy Premier League and everyone is looking to create some budget and adjust Cristiano Ronaldo in their FPL teams. And why won’t people do that, Cristiano Ronaldo scored a brace on his return debut for Manchester United and with him upfront it was a totally different and exciting Manchester United to watch.

This is the level of impact on team when the leader upfront is leading by example. With him it will be exciting to see what toll the Premier League takes and Manchester United surely are the contenders to watch out for this season.

Ronaldo’s Fantasy Premier League history:

Previously, he was part of Man United in 3 campaigns and in those 3 seasons Ronaldo scored 244, 283 and 206 points in Fantasy Premier League. The current price tag of £12.5 looks somewhat a bargain for the calibre of player Ronaldo is because in his last campaign of 2008/09 season, when Man United conquered the Europe, Ronaldo was the focal player of that team valued at £14m in FPL in that season.

He scored 18 goals and 6 assists in that season, which looks like will be achievable very easily in the current campaign if Manchester United keeps playing the same brand of exciting football.

What to expect from Ronaldo in Fantasy Premier League?

The type of glory he has seen in European football and the work ethic that Cristiano Ronaldo has, I don’t think he will score anything less than 20 goals this season.

Manchester United is not all about Cristiano Ronaldo, the team plays an exciting brand of football and there are many players who can step up in case Ronaldo has a bad game week or he is marked so badly that he can’t even move.

With Pogba, Bruno and Lingard in attack, Manchester United is full of creative, intelligent and pacy footballers and even the bench is stocked with high quality players like Cavani and Martial, who can make an impact at anything in the game whenever the manager calls upon them.

So it won’t be easy to target Ronaldo and stop Manchester United from achieving glory this season.

The minimum I will expect Ronaldo is to score 200 points this season, and that’s very humble to say because Ronaldo is capable of producing any sorts of crazy stats that one can think of.

Cristiano Ronaldo as captain in Fantasy Premier League:

I always say that keep the armband limited to 2 or 3 players in Fantasy Premier League and don’t experiment or change your captain choice every game week.

My current top choices are Salah and Ronaldo. Previously, it was Bruno and Salah but Bruno now is a little down in pecking order because it will be difficult for him to get more responsibilities like free-kicks and penalties now that Ronaldo is there in Manchester United.

Conclusion:

All in all it will be exciting to see what Manchester United and Ronaldo does this season. There is a lot of competition in Premier League for every thing. From top goal scorer to winner of the Premier League there are many teams and players in contention to earn the glory but Man United with Cristiano Ronaldo are all-in for everything.
